Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Boot Camp [ONLINE]
The KAIST Center for Innovation Strategy and Policy (CISP) hosts the 2nd Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Boot Camp ONLINE between Oct. 16th to Nov. 27th, 2020 (U.S. EST).
This intensive boot camp introduces the leading research topics in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. We invite Ph.D. students, post-doc, and early-career assistant professors in innovation, entrepreneurship, economics, and management, who are either considering or already doing research in these areas.

When: Every Fri 8 pm. To 9:15 pm., from Oct. 16th to Nov. 27th, 2020 (U.S. EST)
Where: Zoom address will be provided for selected around 30 participants.
Fee: No fee to register
Certificate: KAIST CISP Certificate can be issued by request after participating more than six weeks of boot camp

For whom: The boot camp is meant to promote research interest in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. It is particularly well suited for early-career researchers in innovation, entrepreneurship, economics, management, and political science who are either considering or already doing research in these areas. While the boot camp is primarily intended for Ph.D. students, it is also suitable for post-docs and early-career assistant professors with interest in these areas of research. Participants are expected to prepare for the workshop carefully. In particular, they are expected to read a syllabus of papers prior to the boot camp.
Program: The program will be taught by leading professors in innovation, entrepreneurship, economics, and management fields. Each session’s lecture and discussion will be led by those professors.
Application: Applicants will be selected on a competitive basis. Partial participation is not allowed. Each applicant should submit an application containing the following items in one document:
(i) A cover letter that includes complete contact information and a brief description of the applicant’s current and future research direction (less than 1 page).
(ii) A Curriculum Vitae of the applicant, together with a list of all current and completed Ph.D. courses.
(iii) One letter of recommendation from the applicant’s current or former Ph.D. or M.S. advisor. The letter of recommendation should be short (no more than two pages) and be sent together with the applicants’ application (Optional).
The application deadline is Friday, Oct. 2nd (U.S. EST).
Acceptance decisions will be made by Oct. 5th (U.S. EST). Accepted participants will be expected to join prepared by reading a syllabus of papers prior to the beginning of the I&ERBC.
